RTÉ Gold

RTÉ Gold is RTÉ’s music service for songs from earlier decades. Its schedule includes music from the 1950s through the 1990s, presenter-led programmes and uninterrupted selections. Specialist features revisit particular eras, albums and artists, with programmes such as Living in the 70s, All 80s Saturday and The Classic Countdown providing different ways into the station’s archive-focused music selection. The service is available through RTÉ’s online listening platform and supported digital television services. RTÉ’s current listening guide also confirms carriage on the FáilteDAB DAB+ trial, with coverage in parts of Ireland. A compatible DAB+ receiver is needed for that service; older DAB-only sets may not receive it. Gold’s digital availability is separate from the FM services of RTÉ Radio 1, 2fm, lyric fm and Raidió na Gaeltachta.
